Unbundled Legal Services
We offer all our clients unbundled legal services. Most clients hire us to handle an entire case, from start to finish. The costs for entire case representation is higher and the "unbundling" of services is not possible or advisable. For example, in a criminal case you would not want a lawyer to appear in court for a single hearing or to file a single document -- you would have us handle the entire case.
However, there are plenty of scenarios where our clients do not need entire case representation. Instead, they request us to draft a single document or handle a single issue. That is, the client wants us to unbundle our legal services. The ABA defines unbundled legal services as:
"unbundling is a method of legal service delivery in which the lawyer breaks down the tasks associated with a client’s legal matter and provides representation only pertaining to a clearly defined portion of the client’s legal needs. The client accepts responsibility for doing the footwork for the remainder of the legal matter until reaching the desired resolution. Unbundling is also referred to as limited-scope services, a la carte legal services, discrete task representation, or disaggregated legal services."
We now offer a full breadth of unbundled legal services to our clients for scenarios where they do not need us to take on an entire case -- all they need is a document or something simpler. The cost is much lower and there is a very quick turn around. See below for an example of the unbundled legal services we offer. Nearly all unbundled legal services will be charged a fixed flat fee.
